Welcome to the Sierra Amador Chapter DAR

California DAR

The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a non-profit, non-political volunteer service organization made up of over 175,000 members with 3,000 chapters. These chapters are located in all fifty states and in many countries around the world. On October 11, 1890, eighteen women met to officially organize the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) for historic, educational, and patriotic purposes. Since that day, over 800,000 members have been admitted into membership.

The Sierra Amador Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, began in 2006 with fifteen members. We now have more than seventy members from Amador, Calaveras, and several other counties in California, as well as some members who now live out of the state. It's exciting to be part of a growing chapter expanding the work of the NSDAR.
